Bientôt un Catamaran Rapide entre Le Havre et Portsmouth

D'après "Mer et Marine" Le Norman Arrow va quitter Boulogne son port d'attache depuis juin 2009 pour rejoindre le Havre, au printemps 2010, où il serait plus adapté à la ligne Le Havre - Portsmouth. Le ferry actuel, au Havre, Norman Spirit, sera transféré sur la rotation entre Boulogne et l'Angleterre.

D'autre part le navire en cours de construction le Norman Leader, est mis à l'eau, aujourd'hui à Singapour et rejoindra le Havre au 2ème semestre 2010. Ce navire pourra embarquer 950 passagers et affichera une capacité de 200 véhicules et 60 pièces de fret. Le Norman Leader disposera de 160 cabines, 2 restaurants, 2 bars et 2 salons totalisant 200 sièges inclinables. La vitesse commerciale sera de 19 noeuds.
Ainsi l'année 2010 sera une grande année pour la ligne trans-manche que l'on disait moribonde il y a seulement 4 ans.

Au total 2 nouveaux bateaux sur Le Havre - Portsmouth pendant l'année 2010 :

Le Norman Arrow - catamaran rapide - arrivé prévu avant l'été 2010.

Je ne sais pas si 2010 sera une grande année pour le transmanche au départ du Havre. Je vois plutôt que LD Lines fait face à une baisse générale de fréquentation, comme dans l'aérien ou d'autres services. Ceci explique la valse des ferries depuis plusieurs mois. Les compagnies ajustent comme elles peuvent. D'ailleurs, Mer & Marine écrit aussi que le nouveau ferry des Brittany Ferries, l'Armorique, va être désarmé plusieurs mois et passera probablement l'hiver dans le port du Havre.
Je ne suis pas hyper optimiste sur les liaisons transmanches au Havre, même si le trafic pourrait repartir prochainement à la hausse.

Par ailleurs, qu'en est-il des liaisons de merroutages prévues par notre gouvernement, dont une touchant Le Havre ???

Je suis d'accord avec Krykoo. Je viens de faire le calcul de Bouba. Pour un AR sur une semaine, avec traversées de jour, le tarif est de 98 € l'AR Boulogne-Dover, et 190 € LH-Portsmouth.
Sauf que l'AR LH-Boulogne coute 29 € de péages, et environ 60 € de carburant + usure de la voiture. Cela revient donc au même.
Sans compter la fatigue liée à 2h30 x 2 de conduite.
Perso, pour aller en GB, je prends le ferry du Havre, de nuit. Je réalise ainsi une économie d'hôtel !

Louis Dreyfus bien sur qui a certainement calculer qu'il valait mieux gérrer un port plutot que d'ètre opérateur transmanche quitte à couler ses propres lignes en mettant des navires inadaptés dans chaque port... ainsi le ménage va vite ètre fait !!!

Et pour couronner le tout arrivée en avril du Norman Arrow qui aujourdhui on le sait a des avaries de moteur à répétition , une capacitée fret limitée et travaille avec difficultée sur une passerelle double pont comme chez nous .... J'ai du mal à croire que celà n'est pas préméditée comme Stena fit il y à quelques années à Dieppe en lancant le navire rapide Pegasus qui devait booster la ligne et qui ne fit que précipiter son naufrage !!!!!!

J'ai peur que vos arguments soient fondés, malheureusement.
Et cette semaine, notre "cher" maire a suggéré que le futur TGV soit connecté au tunnel sous la manche, pour relier Le Havre à la GB en train.
A croire qu'au Havre, on ne veut plus, comme bateaux, que des porte-containers cachés à Port 2000, et rien d'autre.
