Avec
une diminution de -5,9% par rapport à la
même période 2008, le port souffre de la baisse des échanges maritimes internationaux.
Les trafics de marchandises diverses est particulièrement touchée ;
le trafic roulier est en baisse de plus de 40%,
le trafic conteneurs affiche un recul de -21,8% (5,3Mt).
Le trafic passagers a par contre progressé de +9,8% (56 000passagers).

Les résultats de nos concurrents ne sont pas beaucoup meilleurs ! Seule surprise le fret transmanche qui progresse fortement grace au deuxieme ferry alors qu'il chute lourdement partout ailleurs !

Justement, j'aimerais bien connaître les résultats en roro et containers d'Anvers et Rotterdam, pour ce trimestre par rapport au T1 2008. Mais d'après ce que j'ai vu, les sites de ces ports ne donnent pas d'éléments comparables.

Alors pour Anvers : baisse de 16% en conteneurs et 31% en roro , Rotterdam : baisse de 16% en nombre de boites et 18% en tonnage pour les boites également et moins 12% pour le roro , enfin Zeebrugge : baisse de 6% en tonnage et de 9,9% en TEU en se qui concerne les conteneurs et plus surprenant baisse de 36% pour le roro et meme 46% en ce qui concerne les voitures neuves alors qu'il est considéré comme le port modèle en europe pour le roulant ! Voilà

C'est le GRAND PARIS qui avale l'aval sans l'aval des Normands : c'est la captation d'une Normandie "utile" urbaine et industrielle de 40 km de large et de 200 km de long au seul profit de l'agglomération parisienne et ses 12 millions d'habitants et qui laisse de côté les "Ploukistan" normands... C'est le retour à de vieilles lunes centralisatrices et technocratiques qui confondent intérêt national et intérêt parisien (ex : le plan Delouvrier de 1965 pour la SDAU de la basse Seine qui consistait, après avoir coupé la Normandie en deux régions administratives, à prolonger l'urbanisation parisienne jusqu'au Havre... tout en plaçant en Normandie les industries SEVESO que l'on ne voulait plus dans le Nord ouest parisien...)
Qu'il faille restaurer la Seine dans son rôle de grand fleuve de communication pour préserver et mettre en valeur l'environnement on est bien d'accord.
Qu'il faille préserver et conforter la place du Havre dans son rôle de premier port français face à la concurrence d'Anvers et de Rotterdam on est d'accord !
Que Fernand Braudel ait dit que Paris souffre de sa position trop terrienne, ce grand historien avait raison : mais c'est oublier que le même Fernand Braudel disait aussi que ce n'est pas parce que des villes sont alignées sur un littoral ou le long d'un fleuve qu'elles forment un réseau ou une unité géo historique cohérente !

Tiens Caen a des états d'âmes, c'est nouveau car jusqu'à un passé récent il ne faisait que peu de cas de se qui se passait en face, bien au contraire si il pouvait mettre des batons dans les roues, jusqu'a se plaindre des nuisances bruyant de Port 2000 lors de l'étude d'impact!!!!!et la réunification de la Normandie, oui si Caen en était la capitale.

De toutes façons, le port du Havre a toujours desservi Paris. Merci donc de ré-inventer l'eau tiède.
